Emily Strader

Emily Strader works with students who are looking for local part time jobs, as well as those pursuing careers in Studio Art, Art History, Music and Dramatic Arts.  Emily has two graduate degrees, one in Human Sciences and one in Career Counseling, both from North Carolina Central University.  She grew up in VA and has her undergraduate from JMU.  She was a classroom teacher before joining University Career Services.  Both of her children are Carolina Alum. On a personal note, Emily is an avid reader and reads at least one book a week and is always looking for new titles and authors.  She has been described as being rather curious and asks a million questions (if she sees you with a book in your hand she'll, of course, ask you what you're reading).
