alumni who have been awarded a degree from an eligible program at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are eligible to use the services
of University Career Services. (Visit Your Job Search: Register
with UCS: Frequently Asked Questions for more information on eligibility
requirements.)
These services are free until six months after graduation. After the six-month period, there is an annual fee of $65.00 to register. NOTE: This fee is required regardless of membership in the General Alumni Association. (The Reference File Service is a separate service and does not require registration with UCS. Visit the Reference File System section for more information about this specialized service.)
Eligible recent graduates within 6 months of graduation:
You should not need to complete the Registration Request form. If you were registered as a student, your account should remain active until the end of the 6 month grace period (unless we have been informed of your full time employment or acceptance to graduate school). If you did not register, your PID should already be authorized to do so.
If you are a recent graduate who cannot access your account, please review our Account Deactivation Policy to see if you may have been manually deactivated. However, please contact us if you have any questions about your status. (Be sure to include your full name and PID# in all correspondance.)
Eligible alumni who graduated more than 6 months ago:
You must complete an online Alumni Registration Request and pay the $65 annual fee before you can be authorized to register or have your account re-activated. After we have received and verified the Alumni Registration Request and processed the annual fee, UCS will contact you with further instructions about completing the registration process. (Although we make every effort to process your request within 1 business day, you will not be able to register or log back into your account immediately.)
Before completing the Alumni Registration Request Form and paying the $65 annual fee, please review our services for alumni carefully. The one service we do NOT offer alumni who graduated over 6 months ago is individual career counseling. If you require this service, you will need to contact the General Alumni Association Career office (919-962-3749).
If you have completed the Alumni Registration Request Form and received confirmation that your request was approved, you may register or log into the UCS Registration, Job/Internship Listings, On-Campus Interviewing System.
MBA, MAC, Law, Medical, and Dental
Degrees
Alumni receiving MBA, MAC, law, medical, and dental degrees are served
by the career offices of those programs, rather than University Career
Services. For further assistance, alumni may also contact Linda Conklin
of the General Alumni Association
