Carolina Challenge, Idea Hatch


Mark your calendars for Idea Hatch, part of Carolina Challenge, this Wednesday, October 26th, from 5pm until 7pm In McColl Hall, Room 2500. Special guest Scott Maitland (Founder, Top of the Hill Restaurant and Brewery) will speak briefly about how to turn ideas into business opportunities.  You’ll also have the chance to share your idea with others and receive valuable feedback from judges as well as your peers.

Every year student teams with entrepreneurial ideas compete for a share of $50,000 in Carolina Challenge.  Join them for their kick off information session today at 5pm in Gardner Hall, Room 308. 

Public Service Fair is tomorrow


More than 35 nonprofits will be represented at the Public Service Fair that is taking place tomorrow (Wednesday, September 21) in The Pit from 10:30am until 1:30pm.  Learn about volunteer and internship opportunities with these organizations, and enjoy all-you-can-eat beans, rice and cornbread for only $4.

Carolina Challenge - Final Four

Social entrepreneurship with Chapel Hill roots, a conversation with Dennis Whittle, co-founder of Global Giving is taking place at 4:00 pm on March 24th at the Campus Y.  After graduating from Carolina and working for the World Bank, Dennis co-founded Global Giving which connects grassroots charities from all over the planet.
