Jeffrey L. Cohen is Social Media Marketing Manager at Howard, Merrell and Partners, a Raleigh, North Carolina strategic branding and advertising agency. Jeff is also Managing Editor at SocialMediaB2B.com, the leading business-to-business (B2B) industry social media site, which is highly ranked on the Ad Age Power 150. Jeff has 20 years’ experience providing strategic marketing counsel to B2B and business-to-consumer (B2C) companies on both the client and agency sides. He produces two online video shows, NorthCarolinaWine.TV and GraceTalksAboutFood.com. Both provide opportunities to use video and other social media tools to build an online brand. He is a photographer and blogs on his personal blog, DigitalPapercuts.com, about social media, marketing, photography and life in general.

Patric Lane, Health and Science Editor, UNC News Services
Patric helps lead and is involved in several of the UNC’s social media initiatives. He is particularly interested in communications efforts that combine “new” multimedia tools with “old” journalistic and storytelling skills. Originally from New Zealand, Patric began his communications career in journalism, working first as a political reporter and Parliamentary correspondent for www.newsroom.co.nz, an online news agency, before joining Radio New Zealand.
KeAnne Hoeg, Web Services Coordinator, NCSU Industrial Extension Services
KeAnne’s has been instrumental in implementing social media within her organization, including a Twitter account, 3 Facebook pages and 2 blogs and is also helping to shape university-wide policy on social media usage at NC State. KeAnne is in her final semester as a graduate student in the UNC School of Library and Information Science. She is writing her thesis on social media and the manufacturing industry and is interested in how untraditional industries, especially service industries, can utilize social media.
Sara Gregory, Community Manager, Daily Tar Heel
Sara is pursuing a bachelor’s degree at UNC in Journalism and Mass Communication. In addition to her work with the DTH, she has interned with the St. Petersburg Times, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and the Salisbury Post. She is very active on a variety of social media platforms, including Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIn and Facebook.

Kevin has over 17 years of experience in marketing/advertising/public relations. At Yelp he leads a team of community managers stretching from Texas to North Carolina. He believes there's no substitute for being authentic in social media, unless you're being relevant in social media. And a little timeliness doesn't hurt either.

Mital Patel, Attorney
Mital focuses his boutique law practice on serving entrepreneurs, business owners, and technology startup companies. His background as an entrepreneur, computer programmer and web designer allow him to speak his clients’ “language” and provide clear legal counsel that makes business sense and legal sense. Mital developed his passion for technology when he majored in Computer Science at NC State University, where he graduated with honors and received his Juris Doctorate as a Charter member of the Elon University School of Law.
