Do you geek out about public health? Do you really need a summer internship? If you fall into either of those categories or anywhere in the middle, you should stop by UNC’s 2012 Public Health Job and Internship Fair. If you’re not in the School of Public Health, don’t fear!
You will find a plethora of professional opportunities from over 20 different organizations that will be represented. The fair is being held on Thursday, February 2nd from 12 pm to 3 pm in the Michael Hooker Research Center Atrium
These job and internship opportunities are not limited to students specializing in public health. Some organizations are looking for students in math, biology, and computer science. Others are looking for students from economics, psychology, or statistics. And there are several organizations that are looking for enthusiastic students from all degree areas and all years of study!
Do you have experience doing research and want to do more? This fair is a fantastic way to find new research opportunities. Many organizations are looking for full-time employees or summer interns to conduct and assist in research related to public health issues.
And if you think that these fairs aren’t important to you as a first-year or sophomore, think again! A summer internship is a great way to get real-world experience and also to boost your resume. Even if you are not interested in these opportunities for next summer, you might still want to talk to employers to find out what qualities and skills they are looking for as advice for future job or internship searches.
So come out to the Public Health Job and Internship fair this Thursday, February 2nd! Dress is business casual, so no jeans, sweats, or sneakers! Make sure to update your resume (UCS career counselors are always happy to help!) and bring several copies for the employers.
We hope to see you there!
