Career
Fairs
UCS coordinates 6-8 career fairs each year. A schedule
of career fairs including dates, time, and place, for the present or upcoming
semester is available below or in our offices.
Business suits are recommended for students seeking a job. Business casual
dress is acceptable for others. Students seeking employment or an internship
should bring several copies of their resume. It is suggested that students
attend the UCS workshop "HOW TO PREPARE
FOR A CAREER FAIR", review the handout, "How
to Prepare for a Career Fair" (also available in Word),
and check the websites of employers attending in advance of the fairs.
(A list of employers attending will be available below within a month
of the fair.) UCS recommends sending a typed follow-up letter to employers
of interest after the fairs.
If you have already received an invitation letter or email to register
for a fair, please follow the links below to log in.
If your organization has not previously attended a career
fair, we will need to add you to our career fair registration system before
you can register. (This system is not connected to the CarolinaLink
job/internship listing database.) Please contact the coordinator for
the fair you would like to attend to establish that access.
UCS is committed to ensuring
that all students, faculty and employers are afforded every opportunity
to participate in the activities offered by this office. If, due to a
disability, you require accommodation to utilize our services, please
contact the Office at (919) 962-6507 and let us know how we may assist
you.
Note: We are in the process of finalizing the details
for our Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 Fairs. Links to the Fall Fair registration
sites and additional outstanding details will be available later this
summer.
