Networking Nights
UCS offers 6-8 different Networking Nights each year.
These programs give students an opportunity to meet and mingle with local
professionals working in career fields that are often hard to break into
-- such as the arts, publishing, public relations, etc.
What
Students Need to Know
Students seeking internships or jobs may want to bring copies of their
resume. A handout (also available
in Word) will be emailed to each
student before the program, giving tips on what to expect for the evening
and how to approach the professionals to begin a conversation. Networking
Nights are open to UNC Chapel Hill students at all levels, all majors,
except students in the MBA, MAC, Medical, Dental, or Law programs.
Students must RSVP to UCS if they are interested in attending a Networking Night. Business casual attire is recommended. Light refreshments will be served.
What Employers Need to Know
If you wish to have your organization participate in a Networking Night,
please contact ucs@email.unc.edu.
Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 Networking Nights list will be posted later in the summer of 2008.
