Skills Workshops / Special Workshops
UCS does not hold workshops during the summer with the exception of Career Clinics. Please see below for more information about attending a Career Clinic.
The Fall 2008 Schedule will be available in August. Please check back for a complete listing then.
UCS offers over 50 different skills workshops each year on topics such as Finding an Internship, How to Use UCS, Resume-Writing, Interviewing, Networking, etc. Several special interest workshops are also offered, on topics such as Finding a Job in the Non-Profit Sector, Taking Time Off After Graduation, Government Careers, etc.
Dress is casual for UCS workshops unless otherwise stated. Open to UNC Chapel Hill students at all levels, all majors, except students in the MBA, MAC, Medical, Dental, or Law programs.
Registration is NOT required to attend UCS workshops (unless otherwise stated). Please just show up at any workshops in which you are interested!
All workshops marked with an asterisk (*) are eligible for the Career Development Certificate Program.
Career Clinics: Using the Strong Interest Inventory to Help You Decide on a Major and Career
Step 1: Take the Strong Interest Inventory on your own time.
Step 2: Sign up to attend a Career Clinic to have your Strong Interest Inventory results interpreted and start making decisions about your major and career.
