University Career Services offers a number of services
that may be of interest to faculty. We invite you to explore our website.
Once you are familiar with our service, you can discuss with your students
how UCS can help them.
UCS also offers Career Services-2-Go a service specifically for members
of the UNC community. If you will be away from class, UCS counselors are
available to make presentations about UCS services, careers for students
in a specific major, job seeking skills, internships, or other areas relevant
to your course. Counselors can also be available to make presentations
to complement your syllabus, whether or not you are available to attend
class. Presentations of Resume Development and Writing Job Search Correspondence
are popular. Email us at ucs@unc.edu
to schedule a presentation.
University Career Services allows UNC-Chapel Hill students completing
a degree from UNC-Chapel Hill as well as alumni who have received a degree
from UNC-Chapel Hill to establish a Reference File.
A reference file may be used in applying for admission to graduate/professional
school, scholarships and other academic programs, or for positions in
education, college teaching, library science, social work, health sciences,
public history, public administration, and city and regional planning.
Learn more about how the Reference
File Service assists students. Review
some tips on how to write a letter of recommendation.
