- AIESEC (UNC-CH Chapter)
AIESEC
is the largest student-run exchange organization in the world. It was
founded in Europe in 1948 and has grown to over 80 countries with over
50,000 members on 700+ university campuses.
- American-Scandanavian
Foundation
The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) promotes international understanding
through educational and cultural exchange between the United States
and Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Various exchange
opportunities are available.
- Association for International Practical
Training
This association helps match students with internships in other countries.
Opportunities for U.S. citizens going abroad as well as non-U.S. citizens
coming to the U.S. to work.
- Center for Global Initiatives at
UNC-CH: International Internship Database
This database has been developed to help UNC students learn more about
international internship experiences that other students have had. (UNC
students: if you have had an international internship, please add your
internship to the database!)
- The
Center for Global Education (CGE) at George Mason University
CGE provides students from across the US and the world the unique opportunity
to participate in professional internationally-themed internships in
Washington, DC with the additional option to study abroad through several
interesting and practical academic programs. CGE offers short-term,
semester/year long, honors study abroad, international internships and
intensive language programs.

Global Service Corps (GSC) is a non-profit organization that sends volunteers
abroad to work, teach, and learn on projects in developing countries.

- Global
Policy Forum Internships
- Going
Global Career Guides and the Global Key Employer Directory are updated
continually. This massive research tool contains more than 10,000 resources
for finding employment in the US and abroad. Developed by a worldwide
team of career specialists, each country covers job search resources,
employment opportunities and trends, business resources and networking
groups, work permits and visa regulations, cost of living and compensation
information and much more. (Please note, UCS
has subscribed to this resource so access is limited to currently eligible
students.)
- IAESTE Placement Program
Matches U.S. university students majoring in technical fields with paid
internships abroad.
