- The Breakthrough
Collaborative is a national non-profit that increases educational
opportunity for high-potential, low-income middle school students and
inspires outstanding college and high school students to pursue careers
in education.
- The Double Discovery
Center at Columbia University seeks dedicated, motivated, inspiring
and creative individuals to work with High School and Junior High School
students on campus in its Upward Bound and Talent Search summer programs.
The following positions are available: summer teaching assistants and
summer residential teaching assistants.
- Duke TIP Summer
Studies Programs offer students in grades 7-10 the opportunity to
learn highly challenging material at a rate suited to their advanced
abilities. Programs are offered on a variety of college campuses, providing
an unparalleled opportunity for young scholars to experience college
classroom instruction and residence hall living.

Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth you will work with
an exceptional group of students, make contacts and friendships with

community. CTY has consistently been named as one of the top internships

- The Northfield
Mount Hermon School Summer Session - The program for interns is
very demanding of their time, talents, and energy. It is designed as
an introduction to the teaching profession, especially in the private
boarding school environment, for undergraduates who, as a minimum, will
have completed their junior year by the summer in question and for graduate
students and recent college graduates.
- Summer
Academic Adventures (SAA) is a great introduction to life in a boarding
school community. Opportunities are available for educators who enjoy
working with high-achieving and motivated students in the classroom
and on dorm while living in a beautiful mountain city for the summer.

Intern Program 2006: An Apprenticeship in Residential School Teaching
- Each year the Phillips Exeter Academy Summer School invites a number

School faculty and to be immersed in residential school life.
