Online Assessment Tools
UCS offers a variety of online career exploration tools designed to help you assess your personal characteristics (e.g., interests, values, abilities) as they relate to occupations and fields of study. These instruments cannot tell you which major or career to choose; however they can suggest areas for you to explore and help you narrow down your choices.
Focus is an online career assessment program
designed to help you identify your interests, skills and values. You can
also use Focus to research career paths generated by your Personal Report.
The Strong Interest Inventory can help you to clarify your interests and to identify majors and occupations related to the interests identified by your electronic report. Once you complete the Strong Interest Inventory, sign up for and attend a Career Clinic. Please note: Your results will be forwarded to a UCS counselor. Your results will be printed with you check-in for one of our scheduled Clinics.
eXplore will provide information
about majors, career fields, occupations, skills, videos, tips, as well
as recommended resources to expand your knowledge. You can view comprehensive
occupational reports to help you learn everything you ever wanted to know
about different careers.
