EDUC 131: Career Exploration Class

EDUC 131, Career Exploration is offered for one hour Pass/Fail credit to first and second year students to help them choose and plan for their careers. It is offered through the School of Education and taught by instructors from University Career Services. There are two sections, which meet once per week (Fall, Tuesdays, 12:30 pm - 1:45 pm and Spring, Thursdays, 11:00 am -12:15 pm.

The course is designed:

  1. To help students learn to clarify career-related interests, skills, and activities
  2. Explore occupations and majors
  3. Learn how to make career decisions
  4. Develop a career plan that helps meet their needs
  5. Learn job seeking skills.
