Strong Interest Inventory
Interest inventories are extremely useful tools for people who are uncertain about their interests. Even those who know their likes and dislikes might find that such tools verify that they are on the right track, or suggest occupations or career areas that they might not have considered before.
You will need to take the Strong Interest Survey prior to attending a Career Clinic. The SII takes about 25 minutes to complete.
Note! This inventory is available through this web site only to current, full-time, UNC students. The web site will not allow non-UNC or ineligible students to take the Strong Interest Inventory.
To review your results please sign up for a Career Clinic (schedule a date for an interpretation in a group setting at UCS), or go online and set up an appointment with a career counselor at University Career Services or call 919-962-6507. (If you schedule an appointment online, be sure to schedule 2 appointments back to back for a total of an hour appointment.)
You might be asking, "Why can't you just send the results to me?" Due to the nature of the information provided by an interest inventory, it is best to review your results with someone with experience with them who can help you make interpretations and devise a plan for further action. Also, University Career Services must pay for the inventory. This way, there is no charge to you.
