UNIVERSITY
CAREER SERVICES
The 2009-2010 academic year holds a greater than normal
threat of the flu. In an effort to keep other students, our employers
and our staff healthy, we ask that you follow these guidelines if you
are sick or experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, sneezing or sore
throat.
- Please do not attend workshops, panels, networking
nights or career fairs.
Many workshops and panels are available online and we will make
every effort to make contact information for professionals attending
these events available.
- If you have an appointment with a UCS counselor, please
contact the counselor directly to see if alternate arrangements
can be made such as a phone appointment, communicating over email or
rescheduling. (If you arrive at an appointment exhibiting visible
signs of illness, we may ask you to reschedule your appointment.)
- If you have an on-campus interview scheduled and are unable to cancel
that interview online, you must contact the UCS office by telephone
(919-962-6507) and speak with a Help Desk representative to
determine if other options can be arranged with the recruiter.
- Please note that while we will try to be as understanding as possible,
the current LATE
CANCELLATION and NO-SHOW policies remain in effect.
- Cancellations for on-campus interviews can be confirmed only
by speaking with a UCS Help Desk representative during office hours.
We cannot accept cancellations by email or voicemail.
If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please isolate
yourself as much as possible and contact Campus
Health Services or review
their guidelines on dealing with the H1N1 virus for further assistance.
