University Career Services offers frequent interview workshops.
We also encourage you to review the Interview
Readiness Video. (You will need Real
Media Player to view it.)
Practice makes perfect! University Career Services encourages students
to prepare for interviewing by conducting a practice interview session.
University Career Services provides 2 opportunities for students to conduct
a practice, or "mock," interview.
InterviewStream is a self-directed practice interview system. Students
can conduct a virtual practice interview at the InterviewStream kiosk
at University Career Services. Practice interview sessions are saved
in the student's InterviewStream account where students can review them
alone or email them to a UCS counselor to discuss in conjunction with
a counselor appointment.
Students may also schedule a practice, or "mock," interview
with a UCS counselor. To schedule a practice interview call (962-6507)
or inquire at the UCS Reception Desk. In order to sign up for a "Mock"
Interview, you must bring a copy of your resume to the Front Desk at
the time that you sign up for the interview. A counselor will conduct
a 30-minute interview, provide feedback on your skills, and answer your
questions. The interview usually lasts about an hour. In order to make
the interview as real as possible, we recommend that you dress in business
attire for the mock interview.
(You may also use this service without the videotape
if you prefer. The same procedures apply for scheduling the practice
interview.)

UCS resource room.
