Career Trek Services and Support

The UNC Career Center partners with faculty, staff, and student organizations to provide expertise on best practices for how you can organize and lead a Career Trek for your student populations. This service supports Academic Departments/Schools that do not have their own Department-based Career Office – or someone serving in that capacity. If you are interested in organizing a Career Trek in North Carolina, please contact Kelsey Williams, Assistant Director of Internships & Experiential Learning at [email protected].

The following support will be provided by the UNC Career Center:

  • We will identify (if requested) potential host employers and the appropriate contacts.
  • We will advise Career Trek organizers on logistics, planning, and assessment of student learning outcomes.
  • We will conduct an in-person and/or virtual Workshop for students on how to maximize a Career Trek experience.
  • We will pay the costs for roundtrip transportation to Career Trek sites through Carolina Livery transport.

Note: To receive services, students must be receiving a degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and must not be in the MBA, Law, Medical, or Dental programs, which are served by separate career offices.
