The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Welcome back Tar Heels!

Is it just us, or did summer 2025 positively fly by?

Whether you are a new or returning Tar Heel, welcome (back) to campus! After you’ve taken that ceremonial first sip at the Old Well and added “Enter football ticket lottery” dates into your calendar, add “Visit the UNC Career Center” to your To-Do list.

Hear us out – UNC Career Center isn’t your dad’s career center (sorry, parental figures). We believe that career readiness and career education are central to your experience at Carolina, so our team is breaking down the steps to “career readiness” and making learning about career more interactive and a whole lot less stressful. We want you feel comfortable coming to see us from day one of your first year all the way to the months after you flip that tassel.

  • This fall, we have 100+ workshops on topics from using AI & tech to financial wellness, international student job searches, and law school application prep.
  • Career fairs more your speed? We’ve got two of those to start off the year, for part-time jobs and for full-time jobs & internships.
  • We are hosting a transfer student lounge, student & alumni networking mixers, a health professions information day, and more opportunities to grow your professional network
  • In addition to career fairs, we host employers for on-campus engagements all semester long.
  • We even have a series called “Industry Snack & Chats” where you can meet reps from different sectors (nonprofit, healthcare…) and have snacks.
  • Last, but never least, we have an amazing team of career coaches to help with what to do with your major, mock interviews, and more 1:1 advice.

Drop by the UNC Career Center for our OPEN HOUSE on Friday, Aug 22 from 11-2 at Hanes Hall (less than 150 feet from the Old Well!). Come meet our career coaches, chat about our programs, and even get CLE credit.

We can’t wait to help you find your path!
