Fall 2024 Career Fairs (Hosted by UCS)

Part-Time Job Fair - August 29, 2024

Calling all part-time job employers with off-campus and on-campus opportunities!

Join us at our upcoming Part-Time Job Fair! This is a fantastic opportunity for employers to connect with a large pool of talented candidates seeking part-time employment. Whether you're looking to fill immediate vacancies or build a pipeline of potential hires, this event provides the perfect platform to meet and engage with motivated job seekers.   • Student Union Great Hall from 3:00-6:00PM.

Registration Fees:

  • $350 - Standard For-Profit Organizations
  • $150 - Non-Profit/Government Organizations
  • $100 - UNC Chapel Hill On-Campus Employer (Academic, Non-Academic, or Work Study)
  • Note: The flat fee covers two representatives at no extra cost. Any additional representative beyond the initial two will incur an additional charge of $75 each, with a maximum of four representative allowed.

Registration Deadline:

  • Early Bird Registration: June 17--July 1
  • Regular Registration: July 1--August 15
  • Note: We will start invoicing employers on July 1.

NC Master's and Doctoral Fair - November 7, 2024

**This Career Fair is for employers seeking to hire graduate students, PhD candidates, postdoc, and professional school students**

This is the 24th Annual NC Master's and Doctoral Career Fair hosted by Duke University, NC State University, UNC-Chapel Hill, UNC-Charlotte, UNC-Greensboro, and Wake Forest University. This event continues to grow due to the participation of employers/organizations and the over 500 advanced degree candidates that usually attend each year. The event attracts diverse talent throughout the state and region. This is a great opportunity to share opportunities ranging from internships, postdoctoral and full-time positions for Master's, PhD Candidates, and postdocs.

NC Graduate, Law, and Professional School Fair - November 7, 2024

**This fair is for admissions reps seeking undergrad and graduate students who desire to continue their education in a graduate program, law, or professional school**

Join us for the 2024 Graduate, Law, & Professional School Fair, hosted virtually via Handshake by Davidson College, NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill, UNC-Wilmington, and Wake Forest University on Thursday, November 7, from 1-6 p.m. This collaborative event allows representatives to participate in one comprehensive fair instead of four separate ones, optimizing both time and financial investment. Participants can engage in unlimited one-on-one 10-minute chat sessions with personalized schedules, and host 30-minute information sessions with up to 50 students using Handshake or their own WebEx/Zoom links. Don't miss this opportunity to maximize your outreach and connect with a wide range of students in a single day!

Economics Department Internship/Recruiting Fair

August 28, 2024: Economics Department Internship/Recruiting fair; Location: Student Union Great Hall. 10-1PM

We are eager to offer this opportunity to our students and to firms/companies like yours. Our event is targeted to Economics majors. There are over 1400 declared ECON majors at UNC, with over 450 students graduating each year with either a BA or BS degree in Economics. Many of our majors double major and/or minor in other complementary disciplines. We envision students participating in a “drop in” fashion, but we will ask them to register to indicate their interest. 

You may have participated in a previous year, or this might be your first year joining us. Contact Donna if you’d like a “booth” (i.e., table) during this 2024 Economics Internship/Recruiting Fair. We hope to have up to 25 firms and expect 150+ students to attend

Kenan Flager Undergraduate Business Program

September 13, 2024: Undergraduate Business Symposium. McColl Building. All day.

Since its founding in 1984, Symposium has evolved into a series of events across the month of September, culminating in the main networking event in which top students and companies have the opportunity to connect with each other, engage in meaningful ways, and ultimately grow professionally. Student Athlete Career Fair

September 11, 2024: Student Athlete Career Fair; Location: Loudermilk Center. 6-8PM

Please consider attending the 2024 Student Athlete Career Fair, as we provide opportunities for our student-athletes to meet with perspective employers as they continue their career journey. It mandatory for juniors and seniors and highly recommended for first years and sophomores.

First Steps for New Employers and Recruiters

If you are new to engaging with our office, welcome! All career, education, and networking fairs will be conducted either virtually or in person. Handshake is the main platform for UCS-facilitated fairs. UCS also promotes in-person fairs hosted by a consortium of schools and virtual fairs on Handshake and other platforms. Your first step will be to connect with us on Handshake and review our job posting policies. Please visit our Job and Internship Postings page to get connected and register for our upcoming career fairs.

Employers can engage with students through UCS-facilitated and department-based fairs and recruitment events. Various events occur throughout the academic year, some open to all majors and others specific to certain departments.
