Internship Credit

The UNC Career Center is not authorized by UNC-Chapel Hill to grant credit to students for Academic Year Internships or Summer Internships. We also are also not authorized to serve in any sponsorship capacity for organizations that request signatures from university personnel on behalf of students. University Career Services recommends the following options for students who need assistance in these types of scenarios:

  • If you have been offered an internship and are seeking credit for that experience, then please visit the Office of Undergraduate Curricula’s webpage to see which option makes the most sense for you.
  • If you are required to get a signature from an university representative for an experiential learning program/opportunity, then please contact your academic department’s Director of Undergraduate Student Services, Director of Graduate Student Services, Student Services Manager, or Internship Coordinator. They would be the ones authorized by your department to sign any application documents required by a company.
