Prepare for Fairs and Recruitment
The Prepare for the Fair series brings together UCS workshops in order to
- Educate you on how to interact successfully with employers at a career fair (virtual or otherwise), and
- Engage with employers by providing visible evidence of your preparation (the resume books)
When you are prepared, you will feel more confident in your interactions and come across that way to employers. We consistently hear from employers that preparation is important to a strong first impression.
Additionally, having your resume in the "I Prepared for the Fair" resume books signals your preparation to employers. We will let them know of your participation in our workshops and programs when we send them the resume books.
Download the check sheet to determine which resume books interest you and which programs you need to attend. UCS will track your participation, keep you informed, and assist with resume book access.
All of our career fairs and employer engagements will be online this year through platforms that support remote activities. CareerEco is the system we will use for the majority of our programs and the linked document provides FAQs for Carolina students about using the system.
